Administer this medicine to your child at a consistent time, either before or after food, as per the prescribed dose, timing, and method. For asthma, it’s best to give the tablet in the evening or about 2 hours before physical activity. For allergy symptoms, the timing depends on when the symptoms start—either in the morning or evening. If your child has both asthma and allergy symptoms, giving the medicine in the evening is recommended. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, give the same dose again, unless it’s close to the time for the next dose.
Your child may start feeling better after taking the medicine regularly, but it’s important to complete the full prescribed course to ensure the best results. Stopping the medication abruptly may worsen their condition. Possible minor side effects include vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, rash, and headache. These side effects are usually temporary and should subside as your child’s body adjusts. If they persist or become bothersome, consult your child’s doctor.
