MONTERGY LC Suspension
Montergy LC Suspension is commonly prescribed for children to treat allergy symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, itching, swelling, congestion, and watery eyes. It can also be used to help manage asthma and skin allergies.
Administer this medicine to your child at a consistent time, either before or after meals, as per the prescribed dosage and schedule. For asthma, it’s recommended to give Montergy LC Suspension in the evening or two hours before physical activity. For allergies, you can give it either in the morning or evening based on when symptoms first appear. If your child has both asthma and allergy symptoms, it's best to give the medicine in the evening. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, you may repeat the dose, but skip it if it's already time for the next dose.
Your child may begin to feel better after taking the medicine for a few days, but it’s important to continue the prescribed course to ensure maximum effectiveness. Stopping the medicine suddenly may worsen your child’s condition. Like all medications, Montergy LC Suspension may cause some mild and temporary side effects, including vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, rash, and headaches. These side effects usually disappear as your child’s body adjusts to the medication. However, if they persist or become bothersome, consult your child’s doctor promptly.
Inform your child’s doctor if your child is taking any other medications. Also, provide a complete medical history, including any previous episodes of allergies, heart problems, blood disorders, vascular issues, birth defects, airway obstructions, lung conditions, skin problems, liver or kidney disorders.
