NOVAPRAZOLE 40 Tablet
Novaprazole 40 Tablet is a medication that reduces stomach acid production. It is used to treat conditions such as heartburn, acid reflux, peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, helping relieve symptoms and promoting healing.
Additionally, Novaprazole 40 Tablet can prevent stomach ulcers and acidity associated with long-term use of painkillers. It belongs to the class of medications known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). This medicine should be taken one hour before a meal, ideally in the morning. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage based on your condition and response to treatment. Even if your symptoms improve quickly, continue taking the medication as prescribed. To enhance treatment effectiveness, try eating smaller, more frequent meals and avoid caffeinated beverages (such as tea and coffee) and spicy or fatty foods.
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, flatulence, diarrhea, and stomach pain. These side effects are typically mild, but if they persist or become bothersome, consult your doctor. Prolonged use may increase the risk of side effects, including bone fractures, particularly at higher doses or after more than one year of use. To help prevent bone loss (osteoporosis), your doctor may recommend calcium and vitamin D supplements.
Before using Novaprazole 40 Tablet, inform your doctor if you have severe liver problems, are taking HIV medications, have a history of allergic reactions to similar medicines, or have osteoporosis. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their healthcare provider before taking this medicine.
